Join us for our popular Jam Workshops for interested musicians wanting to develop their skills and gain experience in playing the blues in a band environment.

Our Jam Workshops take place on the 1st Wednesday of every month (except January)

 JAMMING AT THE WORKSHOP

Held on the 1st Wed each month, except January, at The Harmonie German Club and presented in a format similar to but more intimate than the monthly Blues Jams.

The workshops are not intended to show you how to play your instrument, but they may give you a better understanding about how blues music is structured and how you can communicate this to the other members of your band.

The workshop jams aim to create a comfortable, non-threatening environment where less confident musicians and singers can perform in a band situation. Advice and mentoring will be provided by a house band featuring a selection of our finest players.


 WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING

Participants need only bring their instruments. A PA system and back line including a drum kit, two guitar amps and a bass rig are provided.

We try to make sure that all participants get a chance to have a play on material they feel comfortable with.

  • The monthly jams are conducted by the CBS for the benefit of its members and visitors.

  • Neither the CBS nor the Harmonie German Club shall be under any liability whether in tort or otherwise for any loss of, or damage to instruments left unattended including, but not limited to, any negligence or willful act or any consequential loss or damage.
